A technical position working with and under the direction of the Director of Civil Engineering, Civil Project Managers, and Project Engineers to prepare civil engineering drawings, site plans, construction plans, and design details utilizing computer aided drafting software and methods.
Associate Degree or higher in Computer Aided Drafting and Design or similar field, with knowledge of the use of AutoCAD Civil 3D. Work experience utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D is preferred, but not necessary.
Skills, Abilities & Knowledge
Must possess basic skills in use of AutoCAD Civil 3D, basic skills in use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), and strong visualization skills. Must demonstrate ability to communicate effectively with coworkers, clients, agencies and vendors, work well on a team, and be able to understand and follow through on both written and spoken directions. Must have the ability to analyze technical information and exercise sound judgment. Must have the ability to deal in a sensitive and professional manner with co-workers, clients, agencies, and vendors, and the ability to retain and dispense confidential information appropriately.

Using computer aided design and drafting software and equipment to prepare engineering drawings.
Researching and analyzing existing reports, maps, as-built drawings, test data, and other information.
Calculating dimensions and measurements of length, area, and volume using manual methods, spreadsheets, and/or CAD analysis tools.
Adhering to Civil Group quality assurance/quality control procedures, and seeking opportunities to improve quality of service and deliverables.
Completing site visits, performing construction observation, and participating in meetings with client or reviewing agencies.
Budget/Schedule
Understanding budget and schedule requirements for each project and task.
Ensuring tasks are completed on schedule and on budget, and communicating with Project Manager immediately if schedule/budget constraints cannot be met.
Providing an accurate accounting of time spent on projects on a weekly basis.
Seeking and suggesting ways to improve productivity and efficiency.

A project focused position working with and under the direction of the Director of Civil Engineering, and Civil Project Managers, to complete engineering design calculations, prepare civil engineering drawings and contract documents, coordinate with architects, agencies, and other consultants, and other related tasks.
A Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, with little to no engineering work experience. Must have passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam, or be scheduled to take the FE exam within 1 year.
